Hand-Made Quality
SourBoys are made using traditional old-world licorice production methods. All SourBoys contain the following base ingredients, Glucose Syrup (GMO-Free confectioner's glucose, it's pretty much just sugar and water), Wheat Flour (we use lower gluten pastry flour to help with gelatinization and shelf-life), Cane Sugar (pure sugar from right here in Texas BB), RSPO Palm Oil (sustainable palm oil, not the healthiest fat, but it makes up <2% of the total product), Water (RO water, pretty simple LOL), Sodium Citrate (alkalinizing agent and emulsifier to bring together oil/water... also is kinda sour), Malic Acid (pureeeee sourrrrrrr), Natural Flavoring (these flavors are impressive and extremely fun to work with), and Dyes From Natural Sources (our common dyes are turmeric, spirulina, and a mix of vegetable and fruit juices).
What will NEVER be found in SourBoys candy:
- Artificial Flavors, Dyes, Sweeteners, or Preservatives
- Animal Products, including gelatin.
- Rare Sugars, Sugar Alcohols, Malitol, IMO, or anything that isn't real.
